PBIS- Positive Behavior Intervention Strategies

Procedures have been developed for all of the common areas of our school.  It is expected that everyone at CIL, i.e. students and adults, follow the procedures.  Attached are procedures that will need to be taught to all of our students at CIL.   Teachers may want to practice traveling to the cafeteria before actually going to lunch.

Teachers should model or demonstrate appropriate and inappropriate behaviors and procedures.
Teachers and students should practice or role play behaviors and procedures that are appropriate.
Students should demonstrate appropriate behaviors and procedures.

Common areas and actions include:
    Halls (inside) while traveling
    Breezeways (outside)
    Beginning the Day
    Ending the Day

The common theme throughout the school is to be respectful, responsible, and ready to learn.  Therefore, teachers should teach procedures that exemplify being respectful, responsible, and ready to learn in their classroom.
